NRLG - Software for managing Oral Immunotherapy Treatment

What is Oral Immunotherapy?

Oral immunotherapy (OIT) is a treatment for food allergies that involves gradually eating small amounts of the allergen to desensitize the immune system, with the goal of increasing a patient's tolerance to accidental exposure. It is a long-term process that begins with doses given under medical supervision and continues at home, with regular follow-up appointments to increase the dosage.

Meroz Software Systems has developed a full package for managing Oral Immunotherapy Treatment for the Institute of Allergy, Immunology, and Pediatric Pulmonology at the Shamir Government Hospital in Israel.

OIT involves extremely structured and complex procedures, necessitating an extremely sophisticated program. As most of the treatment is done at home the doctors should be able to access the patient's records all the time.

The NRLG package supports the treatment from all aspects of the treatment: Scheduling and Office Management, Medical records, Treatment plans, Patient's daily reporting, research and statistics.

The package consists of a patient's site and doctor's site which are integrated. The patient's site allows daily reporting of dosages and reactions, communicating with doctors when needed. The protected Doctor's site allows 24/7 access to the patient's medical records, so as to be able to treat patients at all times.

The Office and Planning Module implement a two-way interface to the hospital's systems, receiving patients data and uploading medical summaries to the hospital.

The package includes a sophisticated reporting and analysis module
